HVB ID Check Mobile App

With HVB ID Check Mobile App, you can conveniently approve online payments with your private or business HVB Mastercard or HVB Visa Card without having to remember passwords. Transactions with your HVB credit card on the Internet are confirmed by your biometric fingerprint. This approval procedure can be used if the online merchant requests two-factor authentication from you.

Steps for activation:

1. Register your credit card(s) for the HVB SMS service in HVB Online Banking - if you are already using it - or with HVB Card Service (Mon-Sun: 7/24h by phone: +49 89 435 49 490).

2. Set up your personal HVB eCode (5 digits) in HVB Online Banking or, if you are not yet registered, you will receive it by mail when you order your first credit card. In this case, you can request an HVB eCode again from HVB Card Service.

3. Request an activation code in HVB Online Banking or from the HVB Card Service. It will be sent by SMS to the mobile number on file with a time delay of approx. 2 hours.

4. Enter your personal HVB eCode (5 digits) and the activation code you received (6 digits) in the installed app.

5. Confirm the biometric data stored on the device.

6. Grant the necessary app authorizations.

Done!

If the merchant requests 2-factor authentication when you purchase online with your HVB credit card, you will receive a push notification on the selected device.

To confirm the transaction, you must authenticate with the fingerprint registered on your smartphone and grant approval. If the payment is not initiated by you, decline the payment and contact the HVB Card Service directly.

In "recent payments" overview, you can see the history of your previous payment approvals / rejections on your device at any time and thus always keep track of your activities.

Important: the app can only be used on Android devices with a biometric fingerprint sensor and a current Android version.
